A nice Thomas and Thomas bamboo salmon rod, 9'6", 3-piece, 2-tips and built for a #9 line. Serial #3743. The rod weighs 8.2 ounces on my scale. Powerful medium-slow action. Excellent lightly used original condition. Impregnated model. Light wheatstraw cane done in a three up node pattern. The original owner's name is inked on the shaft as are the rod specifications. Dark maroon wraps that have a matte finish to them. Two carbide strippers with chrome guides throughout and chrome tip-tops. Bright ferrules that have the T&T logo stamped at the top of the females just below the shoulder. 7" grip shaped to a western profile with mild hand soiling. The reel seat is a nickel silver uplocking slide band (the slide band has "Thomas and Thomas, Makers" stamped into it) over a varnished and mortised wood spacer. The bottom of the seat is provisioned with a female ferrule to accommodate the accompanying fighting butt, which is 5" long (measured to the button) with 4 1/2" of it being cork, 1/2" being a nickel silver ring with the makers stamp, and ending in a red rubber button. The rod packs into a tan cloth bag and the original tube with brass hardware, however the collar on the top is split and slides off the tube (a little glue should keep it on). The bottom of the tube also screws off to reveal a compartment for the fighting butt.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
