The Spring Creek

An Aroner classic, we’ve been making the Spring Creek for about as long as we’ve been in the business. The rod’s hallmark is the honey blonde cane matched with olive-colored silk wraps, a nod to those who prefer classic cane styling. The Spring Creek’s nodes are spaced in a 3-up  pattern (the nodes are also filed and pressed using our displacement technique) and both tips are set up to “bookmatch”. All finish work on the Spring Creek is spar varnish, and the nickel-silver hardware is oxidized to reduce flashing. Ferrules are our standard swiss with a collared male. The guides are antique, high-speed bronzed steel. Our Spring Creeks also tend to have a slightly more moderate action than our Hunt Patterns, perfect for making delicate presentations on this model’s namesake. Inspired by some of our favorite limestone creeks, it’s a rod we’re happy to turn to with confidence year after year.

Standard Features: Blonde cane, olive silk wraps, premium cork grip, swiss ferrules, black oxidized hardware, antique steel guides
