AL Walker Fly Reels

Arthur Walker was a fine reelmaker who produced classic german silver and hard rubber reels in the grand tradition of Vom Hofe. He began making reels in the Hempstead NY area in the 1940's with a focus on salmon reels, and was later joined in the business in the 1970's by his son Archie. Though the Walker name is less well known than some other classic reelmakers, the scarcity of these reels has made them quite valuable to collectors. If you are looking for a Walker reel or have one to sell, please contact us.
