For sale here is a bamboo fly rod from the Dietrich Brothers of Pennsylvania - Dream Catcher Fly Rods. This is the "Timber Fiddle" model. 7'9 for four weight line. Two sections and two tips. Unused condition. Made in 2012. This rod was donated by the makers to the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum (CFFCM). Once again, CFFCM has asked us here at Vintage Fly Tackle to help them liquidate some donations for the ongoing benefit of the Museum and its wonderful cause of preserving the long-standing traditions and heritage of fly fishing. The rod is beautifully flamed with blued hardware, including cap and ring over a gorgeous burled wood spacer. The half wells grip shows no use. Red agate stripping guide. The rod exhibits a very nice medium fast progressive action. The Dietrich Brothers learned the great craft of bamboo rob-building from the late and great George Maurer (Sweetwater Rods) and their kind donation to support CFFCM's cause is reminiscent of Mr. Maurer as well.
