There are no cracks at the ferrule wraps and the varnish is firm and in excellent condition on the butt and one tip (the second tip has some bag impression below the bottom snake guide and a few minor varnish chips). Overall the rod is in great shape for its age. It has the trademark resorcinol glue. The main wraps are almost transparent lemon with brown at the keeper and ferrules. The stripping guide is a Perfection with high-arch black snakes. The ferrules are polished Super Z and the fit is perfect. The rod is nice and straight. The grip is a 6\" long blunt cigar. The reel seat is all cork with a nickel silver ring and pocket cap. The original tube and bag have been lost and replaced with a 2-piece Leonard bag. The replacement aluminum tube has been hand-crafted, with a sleeve fitted over the top.
