Mint, un-cast condition. Medium-fast to fast action, but slightly slower than most of my 3-piece rods. All my \"Spinoza\" rods are built from Pre-Embargo cane and have Payne-style pressed nodes, as well as a Payne-style flamed and oven-temper cane that gives it a rich chestnut color. The stripper is a red agate. The main wraps are brown with yellow edges and a band of maroon at the keeper and male ferrules. The snake guides are antique black high arch H.S.S. The ferrules are oxidized jet black and are step ferrules in the Pot-Belly fashion. The ferrule plugs are the aluminum-and-cork finial style. The grip is 5\" long and turned to a medium cigar profile. The cap and ring and rear cork check have a fine coin-edge knurl, and are all oxidized jet black. All of the hardware, ferrules, and tubes are made here in my shop. The butt cap is stamped \"Spinoza Rod, Spinoza Rod Co., Makers.\" The wood spacer is mortised, perfectly varnished, and spectacular curly koa. The olive color rod bag has a pocket for the ferrule plugs and the polished aluminum tube has brass appointments, with the collar sporting the Spinoza stamp.
