The slide-band reel seat wood is tiger stripe maple, hand flatted and varnished. An integral wood lip meets the back of the cork grip. The cap and ring are nickel silver. The ring is engraved with the word \"Magnum\" and the cap is roll-die stamped \"Ron Kusse, Maker\" in a cartouche. The female ferrule plug comes with a cork and nickel silver ferrule plug. The white colored cloth bag has a stiffener and has 2 hang tags — one states this rod is the first of a series with the owner's name and the date of 5\/16\/01.
