The varnish is excellent overall with the exception of some hook digs on some of the tips. Wrapped in brown main wraps with black edges at the keeper and ferrules. The ferrules fit well, but a large portion of the oxidation has rubbed off the female butt ferrule. The stripper guide is white agate and the snakes are black H.S.S. steel. The cork grip is 5 1\/2\" long and turned to a slim cigar profile. The cap and ring reel seat is nicely varnished and flatted walnut with the cap and ring in bright finish.
