For sale here is a Garrison Model 212 taper bamboo rod made by Art Weiler of Pennsylvania - an 8' 2/2 for a 5wt line. Serial no. 1002. A very nice and faithful reproduction of an extremely popular and classic five to six weight taper. Weiler has designated this rod as more of a 5wt. The rod is in mint condition. Medium blonde cane with transparent honey wraps. Dark chestnut brown thread at the winding check, ferrules, and tip-tops. Although one of the tip-tops is wrapped in red to distinguish the tips. Deeply blued guides. Garrison style hook keeper as well as grip. Nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a cork spacer. The ring has a fine diamond knurling. Bright Swiss style ferrules, size 12/64. The fit is nice and tight as it should be. The action is medium fast. Quick, light, and well balanced in the hand. The rod weighs 4.40 oz. A well-executed nod to the highly coveted original. Comes with original bag, ferrule plug sewn into the bag, and aluminum tube with label.
