A nice Paul Young (Bob Summers) Para 15 model bamboo fly rod, 8', 2-piece, 2-tip and feels to me like it would cast a #6 best. Serial #4520. The rod weighs 4.2 ounces on my scale. Both tips are labeled "dry tip" and the rod has a strong, full flexing DF action. This rod was built under the Paul Young name by Bob Summers for Thomas McGuane. It shows some signs of modest use with some grip soiling, some cosmetic casting cracks at the male ferrule wraps, and some brassing to the inner snake guides as well as the oxidation on the welt of the Super Z ferrule. The varnish is in good condition with no damage or defects and the rod shop straight. The cane is flamed with mottled pattern. The wraps are tan gold with a red tip wind to distinguish the tips. Carbide stripper and black HSS snake guides. The oxidized ferrules are original Super Z with the logo stamp. The grip is 6" long and turned to a half wells profile. The rel seat is a downlocking screwlock of black anodized aluminum with large lightbulb style threads. The spacer is cork and the black anodized pocket cap is stamped "Paul Young Co, Detroit - Mich" in a square cartouche. The rod packs into a dark green color cloth bag and an aluminum tube with brass fittings and a maroon overbag.

Shipping Information
- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
