The Thomas Rod Company has some of the richest roots in rodmaking. FE Thomas, its founder and namesake, had been an early employee at the Leonard shop around the turn of the century. After a brief, though historic, association with Eustis Edwards and Ed Payne, Thomas opened up his own shop in Bangor, Maine where it would prosper until 1958 when it was sold to Sam Carlson. Today, FE Thomas rods are enjoyed by many, especially those with a love of east coast rodbuilding. If you are looking for an FE Thomas rod or have one to sell, please contact us.
