A nice Bernard Ramanauskas (Eden Cane / Freestone) bamboo fly rod, 6'9", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for what feels to me like a #4. The rod weighs 3.2 ounces on my scale. "210Y-4" is inked on the shaft, along with a drawing of a nymph and a highly stylized signature. Medium fast action. Medium wheatstraw cane done in a nodeless scarfed configuration. The rod is lightly used with a small scratch to the varnish just above the writing on the shaft, some light reel foot impressions on the reel seat spacer but no other meaningful signs of use that I could find. The rod has transparent wraps with dark red decorative spiral wraps above the grip, and a single band of red in the middle of each guide wrap, with red tipping at the ferrules and tip tops. Agate stripper. The female ferrule has a dark red overwrap at its base. Truncated and oxidized swiss style ferrules. The grip is made of rattan and has a slim cigar profile with front and rear cork checks. The reel seat is a simple slide band over a varnished wood spacer and the cap and ring are oxidized and highly minimalistic in design. The bottom of the cap has the Eden Cane logo stamp on it. The rod packs into a tan cloth bag and comes with two tubes, one a black crackle paint aluminum tube with brass fittings (and the "Freestone" logo on the tube) as well as a leather Arne Mason tube with the Freestone logo stamped into the cap.
