A nice Edwards Quad salmon rod, 9'6", 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for what feels to me like a #8. Detachable fighting butt. Weighs 7.7 ounces. Medium slow action. Used fair condition, all full length but no inscription on the rod shaft. The guide wraps look original but the female wraps are not. It is possible that the varnish has been sanded out and re-dipped as there are a lot of varnish runs around the wraps, but I can't say definitively. The butt is somewhat seamy but there is no delamination that I can see. Flamed cane with random node spacing. The mid-to-butt male needs cleaning and some lapping to fit fully. The grip is 7 1/4" long and squared to meet the front cork check. The rear bakelite check is 5/8" long and has a hidden pocket cap for the uplocking screwlock. The fighting butt is 5" long and composed of both plastic and cork. The bag may not be original. The rod is put up in a very nice fleece lined leather carrying case.
