A nice Edward Quadrate Special fly rod, 8', 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for what feels to me like a #7. 4.6 ounces. Brisk action rod. Used condition but still original and straight with good ferrule fits. The varnish has some bag imprint from poor storage but does not currently feel soft. Random node spacing in flamed cane. The wraps are bright red with a small stripper and high speed steel snake guides. The ferrules are un-oxidized. The front cork check has been turned round and fitted to the grip rather than flatted as seen in many quads. The grip is 6" long with a slight cigar bow to it. The reel seat is an aluminum ring over cork and an aluminum pocket cap over tenite. The poplin bag is brown. The aluminum tube is original with only about 40% of the Edwards data sticker remaining.
