A Hardy Palakona bamboo fly rod, 8'9", 2-piece, 1-tip (made that way, as there is only 1 tip provided for with the original rod bag) and built for a #7 line. The rod weighs 6.1 ounces on my scale. Medium action. Blonde color cane with three-up node pattern. The rod has seen only light use. The main wraps are red with green edges. The stripper is a clear agate or glass. Reverse-twist chrome snakes. The step ferrule is stamped "38" on the female and they are oxidized. The grip is 6 3/4" long and shaped to a deeply sculpted western with a hidden pocket cap for an up-locking screw lock. The uplocking nut is stamped “Made by Hardy’s England.” and all of the reel seat hardware is aluminum. The blue cloth tie string bag sports the Hardy logo and “Member of the Harris + Sheldon Group.” The rod packs into a large aluminum tube for safekeeping.
