For sale here is a vintage Dingley 3 3/4" fly reel made for Ogden Smith and called the Exchequer (similar in style to a Hardy Perfect) . Stamped D1 and 1 on the frame. Retailed and stamped on winding plate by Ogden Smiths Ltd of London. Also stamped "Made in England" and "Exchequer". This excellent+ condition reel is RHW and comes with a nice and strong single pawl/spring check from the 1930's. Tensioner works perfectly. Ball bearing race on back of winding plate. Gear teeth and pawls still very sharp. Un-filed original smooth brass reel foot with two screws. Great condition ebonite handle and it spins freely. The reel has no wobble. No cracks, chips or prior repairs. Majority of original leading remaining. Reel weighs 11.3 oz. and the reel foot is 2.5 inches long.

All items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
