A superb Edward Vom Hofe 504 Tobique multiplying salmon reel, set up for RHW. 2/0 size, 3 1/2" diameter with a 1 1/4" spool width. Hard rubber plates, nickel silver rims and pillars, the usual aluminum foot that is full-length, and the classic "S" shaped handle. The screws do not show abuse at the hands of a screwdriver, and the seven-portion drag disk works perfectly and can hold almost any salmon in the pool. The reel was made and owned by Gordon S. Rentschler, then Chapman of First National City Bank in New York, and there is a repair ticket included with his name and address on it. This example, made in 1935, comes in the original E vom Hofe leather D block case that is, too, in beautiful condition.
