Vom Hofe, Edward - Model 423 Restigouche 2/0 Fly Reel

For sale here is a classic Edward Vom Hofe Model 423 "Restigouche" Salmon fly reel in excellent overall condition. Size 2/0 - 3 3/8" diameter, spool width of 1 3/8" and weighs 10 1/2 oz. This reel carries the 1896 patent on the sliding oil cap. German silver safety bands and pair of double roller bars. The reel has a strong adjustable drag and click. This reel has the seven detent arrowhead pointer drag feature with very bright red dot indicators.The offset reel foot is full length, unmolested, and includes a 2/0 marking on it and serial number R460 dating the reel to 1925. The reelcomes with what appears to be its original leather case in good condition (the strap has become detached but can be sewn back on easily enough), marked 2 0 on the back. The attached catalog scan is from 1928. You will not be disappointed!
