Everett Garrison 206 Fly Rod 7'9" 2/2 #5

155

An excellent Everett Garrison 206 fly rod, 7'9" 2-piece, 2-tip built for a #5 line. Lettered D-79-1 and weighing 3.45 ounces. Originally built for "Jas B Peeso" circa 1935 and sold to the current owner by Marty Keane. The soft varnish was removed and the rod re-conditioned by John Bradford in February of 1994. Honey main wraps, brown at the ferrules and keeper. Olive wrap at tip-top on one tip and brown on the other. High arch snakes guides. Excellent varnish job by John here. The grip appears to have been replaced, a 12 cork 6" slim cigar grip and nicely done. Cork seat with slide band and pocket cap. Small seam (closed) showing at the keeper wrap. Appears unfished since the re-do. I'm not sure whether the bag is original but the tube appears to be. This may be your best chance to fish a Garrison while saving the original for your collection. A nice rod that's been refinished with great skill.
