Hardy Perfect Taupo Fly Reel 3 7/8" [SALE PENDING]

A nice Hardy Perfect Taupo fly reel, 3 7/8" diameter and set up for LHW (though switchable). This is the modern re-issue of this rare early model. Near mint condition with some very faint mounting marks on the reel foot, but I could find no other signs of use anywhere else on the reel. It may have been fitted to a rod and loaded with backing, but I doubt it's been fished. Frost gray frame and spool with an ivorine style handle and a smooth alloy foot. Smooth click and pawl drag. A nice size here for heavy trout, landlocked salmon, or light salmon or steelhead angling. The reel comes in the original leather fleece-lined pouch and the original Hardy box with paperwork.
