    The famed House of Hardy first opened its doors in 1872, and from the day William Hardy began crafting fly reels out of his Alnwick, England factory its name has been one of the most recognizable the world over. The Hardy Perfect might be the most famous fly reel ever made, though aficionados admire a host of other famous models as well - the St. George, the Bougle, the Cascapedia, and more. While Hardy's present efforts focus more on "modern" reels, their classic versions are still incredibly popular.
