A nice Charlton 8500 Signature Series 0.8 fly reel in RHW, with two spare spools. Good used condition with a few nicks in the frame and loaded spool, some mounting marks on the foot, and some normal cosmetic rubbing on the crossbar and in a few places here and there. The loaded spool has a small chunk missing from the rosewood handle, but the other two appear to be little used. One spare spool is the standard matte-and-gloss finish, while the other is matte throughout. Perfect mechanically. Serial number SS9273. The original owner's name is etched in a white script in the drag adjuster plate. The 0.8 spool can fit a WF8+150 30# or a WF10+160 20#. Meticulously coated with a high-polished, deep black Type III anodized finish with matte reliefs. Fully machined from high-grade aluminum and steel. Has a sealed, self-adjusting carbon fiber disk drag which includes over 9-square inches of surface area and boasts five oversized aerospace precision bearings. A large arbor design gives the angler over 1 foot of line retrieve per revolution. The reel and one spool come in the original bag, while the other spare spool packs into a suede zipper pouch.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
