For sale here is a Marty Karstetter hollow-built bamboo rod - 8' 3/2 for a 5 weight line. 3 3/4 oz. Serial no. 16911. The rod is in excellent condition. All sections are full length and straight. Marty makes some of the finest casting rods on the planet currently and we've always sold them immediately due to their popularity. We rarely see them on the secondary market because their owners admire them so much! This rod was made in 2011. Moderately tempered cane, varnished, agate stripping guide. Powell-style Wells grip with light soiling, void of any defect. Oxidized cap and ring reel seat over a beautifully figured wood spacer, there is a bit of wear to the bluing around the bottom rim of the butt cap. Oxidized swiss-syle truncated ferrules size 11/64 and 17/64, the fit is perfect. There is light wear to the bluing on the mid-section female ferrule. Swift and powerful medium-fast action also capable of delicate casts and great tippet protection thanks to the thin tips. Includes original bag and tube with brass fittings. You will not be disappointed!

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
