An Edwards “Bill Rosgen's Special” bamboo fly rod, 8', 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #7 or #8 line. 5.3 ounces. Quadrate design. All full length and original with no damage to any section. Very good condition although the varnish has been polished and some polish residue is still evident under the snake guides. The grip has some ridging due possible cleaning. Nice caramel color flamed cane with white ink inscription “Bill Rosgen's Special” and 1 flat right “Winsted Conn.” Bronze–brown main wraps with black edges on all. Perfection stripper and black high arch H.S.S. snakes. The ferrules are squared to the blank and still fit well. 6 1/2" cork cigar grip with a black Tenite front cork check. The reel seat is a downlocker of black plastic and a brass with chrome over ring and pocket cap. The rod packs into a dark brown cloth bag (there is a hole in the bottom) which is original as well as the tube with a somewhat illegible Edwards data sticker. The tube collar has a typical split in it, though it has been glued back in place.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
