A nice Jenkins GA-70 bamboo fly rod, 7', 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for what feels like a #4 line. "GA70-29" inked on the butt along with "Charles H Jenkins" further above the grip and on an opposing flat. 3.4 ounces. Pleasing medium-fast action. The rod has seen some use and has some ridging on the grip, some oxidation and finish loss on the female ferrule, as well as minor cosmetic wear to the varnish here and there, though it is in perfectly fine fishing shape. The rod is nice and straight, and the ferrules seat well. Mike Clark repaired a guide on one tip, which included re-wrapping it, and it is an excellent match to the original. Light wheat straw cane, done in a three opposed node pattern. The rod sports a keeper, chrome-plated stripper and lightly bronzed snake guides as well as chrome tip tops. It is wrapped in light brown with yellow tipping, with an extra band of red at the keeper ferrules and tip tops.Farrells are an oxidized Swiss with some finish loss, as mentioned previously. "GA70-29" is inked above both male ferrules. Blunt Cigar Grip with front and rear cork checks. The reel seat is a simple sliding band over a varnished wood spacer. The rod packs into the original khaki Poplin bag with a stiffener, as well as the original aluminum tube with the Jenkins sticker affixed to it.
