A Jenkins “GA70” model bamboo fly rod, 7', 2-piece, 2-tips, and built for a #4 or #5 line. 3.1 ounces. Used condition. There is not much wear to the inner snake guides, but there is some varnish roughness in the butt, some slight sets to the tips, and the grip has its fair share of hand soiling. Wheat straw color cane with slightly darker 3-up nodes. The main wraps are brown with yellow edges and an extra band of purple at the keeper and ferrules. The stripper and tip tops are chrome plated, and the snakes are black high arch H.S.S. The Swiss style ferrules are oxidized and show brassing only at the female welt. The cork grip is 6" long and tapers continuously up from the seat to within 1 cork of the front cork check — basically a very blunt cigar. The seat is a ring and pocket cap affair over a wood spacer. Interestingly, the ring and pocket cap are both rolled and soldered. The pocket cap has a nickel silver bottom engraved with “The Jenkins Rod”. The rod comes with a tan color cloth bag and an aluminum tube.
