A superb Otto Zwarg 400 model Laurentian (2-1 multiplier) in 4/0 size. RHW. 14.8 oz. Serial #C265. This reel is in superb near mint condition. 95% new. St Petersburg Florida stamp and the serial # indicates a 1948 manufacture date shortly after the move from Brooklyn. The screw heads show some signs of having been worked. The soldered and pinned German Silver protective rims have one tiny scratch and a few micro (almost invisible) bits of rim rash. The hard rubber side plates are flawless. The spool is polished aluminum as are the serpentine handle and the reel foot. The foot is stamped with "400" and 4/0 as well as the serial number. The double pillars, counterbalance, on-off button, and drag selector are all German Silver. The reel comes in a leather case with the Abercrombie & Fitch Co., New York stamp on the bottom and 4/0 stamped on the back strap.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
