For sale here is a hollow-built Per Brandin Model 764-2 DF Special -- 7'6" 4wt hex bamboo rod with staggered ferrule construction with a 16" ferrule plug. Made in 2016. The rod remains in near mint condition. One of the three tips is a replacement as one of the original tips had a narrow split in the cane. Brandin repaired the original tip and also made a third one. The repaired tip includes a very thin invisible wrap running from guide to guide.
Beautiful dark cane with caramel colored wraps. Agate stripping guide. Modified full-wells grip 5 1/2" in length with only the slightest handling marks. Blued nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a beautifully figured mortised mahogany spacer. The ferrules are size 14/64 with a perfect fit. The rod weighs a svelte 2.75 oz. The rod has a terrific medium-fast dry fly action. The repaired and replacement tips have identical actions though the repaired tip might feel just a tad stiffer. Includes original bag and tube with brass fittings and heavy canvas tube cover. Brandin had a new bag made to accommodate the third tip section and also features a sleeve for the ferrule plug. A correspondence letter from Per Brandin is also included detailing the repair.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
