For sale here is a Pezon et Michel "Parabolic Royale Super" bamboo rod - 8'3" 2/2 for a 5 weight line. Excellent original condition. The one issue being the wrap below tip-top #2 has began to come unraveled and will need attention at some point. The rod is part of the PPP line of P&M rods. Made in France. Staggered ferrule construction, the butt section being 6 inches shorter than the tips. Includes 6 3/4" bamboo ferrule plug P&M is so well known for. Lightly tempered cane with bronze wraps and black tipping. Blue, white, and red signature wrap; a tribute to France. U-shaped hook keeper. Bronzed guides with the exception of the bright stripping guide and tip-tops. Burlwood winding check. Cigar grip. The grip is soiled but in otherwise excellent condition. Aluminum down-locking reel seat with fine wood spacer. Oxidized ferrules size 16/64 with red witness marks, a hallmark of Pezon ferrules. The male ferrules are tapered to account for wear over time. The fit perfect. The action is on the faster side of medium-fast, parabolic, and authoritative yet smooth. A terrific rod for big flies and wind or when distance is a factor. Rod weighs 4 3/4 oz. Comes with original red satin rod bag and possibly the original tube. It seems that Pezon et Michel rod are greatly underrated in the US compared with their popularity overseas. - We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
