For sale here is an early Sweetgrass 7'3" 2/2 4wt pentagonal hollow-built bamboo rod. Serial no. 1050. Made by Jerry Kustich in 2006. Sweetgrass began numbering rods at 1000. The rod is in near mint condition. All sections are full length and straight.

Straw colored cane with burgundy wraps and black tipping at the winding check, signature wrap, ferrules, and tip-tops. Grapefruit colored agate stripping guide. Blued guides. Rope pattern ring hook keeper. Handsome bamboo winding check. Straight tapered full wells grip 6 1/8" in length. Elegant nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a thuya burl reel seat. "SR" is engraved on the bottom of the butt cap. The step-down ferrules have an excellent fit. The rod weighs 3.40 oz. The superb dry-fly action is on the faster side of medium-fast, smooth and very light in the hand. A terrific everyday trout rod. Includes original bag and original tube with Sweetgrass logo.
