For sale here is a 1990 limited edition Thomas and Thomas "au Natural" Bamboo rod in like new condition, having only been lawn cast. There were only 30 of these made in 1990. This one is serial #9 as etched into the base of the butt cap as well as the brass tube cap.

The T&T Limited Edition rod for this year features the natural color and beauty of bamboo combined with dramatic laminating craftsmanship. Kith and kin to T&T's 1987 "Jus' Swell," this 3-piece design is executed in unflamed blond bamboo. Again taking our acclaimed swelled butt construction to its limit, the natural bamboo grip becomes part of the tapered rod shaft, unsheathed by cork or superfluous embellishment.

Line: #4 double taper or weight forward
Design: Continuous taper, extended swell bamboo grip
Finish: High gloss varnish over natural bamboo

Wrappings: Pale bronze silk
Ferrules: Natural hand-turned nickel silver, sizes 13/64 and 17/64.
Reel seat: Natural sculpted nickel silver cap & ring with butternut wood spacer
I will also include a scanned copy of the Thomas & Thomas catalog from 1990 when the rod was offered for $3,100. The rod also comes with its original bag and tube. The tube shows natural tarnish to the brass over the years.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
