For sale here is a Tim Zietak Garrison Model 221 -- 8'9" 2/2 7wt bamboo rod. The rod is in excellent overall condition with one exception. The male ferrule on one of the tip sections needs to be reset as it is clicking. All sections are full length and straight.
Varnished finish with transparent honey wraps, mahogany at the winding check and ferrules. The tip-tops are burgundy and olive, respectively to distinguish them from one another. Lightly blued guides. Maroon agate stripping guide. Garrison-style grip 6 1/4" in length with light soiling. Down-locking reel seat with a brass locking ring over a burl walnut spacer. Cork fighting butt 2 1/2" in length. The Swiss-style ferrules are size 15/64 with an excellent fit. The rod weighs 5.50 oz. The action is medium-fast.
Includes original bag and tube with label and brass fittings. The brass cap is dented though it doesn't hinder usage in any way.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
