For sale here is a Wright & McGill Granger "Victory" Model 8642 - 8'6" 3/2 for a 5 weight line. The rod is in excellent original condition, with the only exception being that the midsection female ferrule was reset and re-wrapped by South Creek Ltd.
The rod features exceptionally dark ammoniated cane with black and bronze jasper silks. There is a spiral intermediate halfway between the stripping guide and the winding check. Oxidized guides. The script on the butt remains clean and bold. Western-style grip with moderate soiling. The grip is free of ridging, hook gouges, or other defects. The patented nickel silver up-locking reel seat is in excellent condition, there are no dents or major scratches. It operates freely and smoothly as it should. The nickel silver ferrules are size 10/64 and 16/64, the fit is nice. The action is a lovey smooth medium-fast with a good deal of backbone. A terrific rod when far and fine casts are necessary. The rod weighs 5.20 oz. includes original bag and cardboard tube with the label 100% intact. A protective shrink wrap has been placed over the entire tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
