For sale here is an E.C. Powell - 9'6" bamboo rod. B-9 taper. Three sections with two tips. The rod is in excellent condition. All sections are full length and straight. The second tip was made at a later date and is noticeably lighter in color and roughly the same taper, though not as precise as the original Powell taper, measuring +/- .003" - .010" (measurements were taken with a Starrett micrometer on the same 6" stations on both tips). Lovely browntone cane with goldenrod silks. Intermediate wraps on the butt and mid sections. The third guide up on the original tip has been re-wrapped. Bright hardware throughout. Garrison-style hook keeper. Signature E.C. Powell grip is soiled and ever so slightly ridged but in otherwise fine shape. Aluminum up-locking reel seat with bakelite spacer. Maker stamp on the reel seat. Ferrule sizes 11/64 and 19/64. The fit is nice and tight as it should be. The moisture cap has unfortunately gone missing on the male ferrule of the mid section. The action is medium-fast.The rod weighs 6 oz. and feels best with a 7wt line. Original bag and tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
