An Orvis Battenkill bamboo fly rod, 8'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for an #8 or #9. Serial #32634. The rod weighs 5.2 ounces. It has seen some moderate use with some cracks at the ferrule wrap and with one tip needing a re-wrap at the ferrule. The guides show small amounts of brassing and wear, the grip has been cleaned leaving a bit of ridging, and the oxidation on the ferrule welt shows some pressing as well. Dark chestnut oven tempered cane, done in a three up node pattern. Brown main wraps with a carbide stripper. The snake guides are black H.S.S. The rod sections are straight and the ferrule fits are tight. The grip is 6 1/4" long and turned to a slimmish cigar profile. The seat is a downlocking aluminum screw lock with a pocket cap at the bottom. Walnut spacer. The threaded barrel has some scratching possibly from mounting and dismounting a reel. The rod bag is grey poplin with ties. The aluminum rod tube has the original data sticker in 100% original condition.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
