An E.F. Payne 202 bamboo fly rod, 8', 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #6 line. Sold by Abercrombie & Fitch, N.Y. 4.7 ounces. Original condition and full-length but I will rate the rod as "fair" due to a cracked node below the last snake guide on one tip. The rod also has haul wear to the corner of the butt below the stripping guide. Nice action, on the DF side. Overwrap the node crack and you have a great fishing rod. The cane is tempered to the Payne signature light brown, with brown wraps, yellow edges, and a band of purple at the keeper and ferrules. Perfection stripping guide and black snake guides. The step ferrules are oxidized jet black. The Western-style grip is 6" long with a hidden pocket cap. Cleaning the grip has left it somewhat ridged. The reel seat is stamped "Sold by Abercrombie & Fitch." Non-original bag but original tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
