A Per Brandin 764-2P bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #4 line. Quadrate construction. Marked "2-92". The rod weighs 3.1 ounces. Medium fast action. Light use with light hand soiling to the grip, the start of casting cracks at the ferrule wraps, and some brassing to the inner part of the snake guides. Varnished rod with mottled flaming and distinctively lighter nodes. The ferrule fits are excellent and the rod is straight. The main wraps are apricot with black edges at the keeper, ferrules, and tip tops. The ferrules are wrapped black. The stripper is carbide and the snakes and tip tops are black. The ferrules are oxidized and of a truncated step design. The grip is 6" long and is done in a semi full wells profile. The reel seat is flatted cork with opposed nickel silver rings with a nicely done tiny recessed knurl. A cork ring keeps the slide bands on the rod and has a cap of burled varnished walnut. The rod packs into a tan poplin cloth bag with an aluminum tube with brass fixtures with aluminum plugs at both ends.
