A nice Thomas and Thomas Montana model fly rod, 8'6", 2-piece, 2-tips, and built for a #6 line. Serial #5719. 6.2 ounces. Mint condition. The action is very nice and on the faster side of medium. The cane is flamed in a tiger stripe and is done in a three up node pattern. The varnish is absolutely perfect. The main wraps are light brown with edges of lighter brown and dark brown at the ferrules. An extra band is black at the keeper, male ferrules, and tip-tops. #10 or #12 SRMC carbide stripper and chrome snake guides with oxidized tip tops. The swiss ferrules have a collar on the males and are oxidized as well. The oxidized front cork check has been formed to a hex. The grip shows no sign of hand soiling and is 6 1/2" long, shaped to a western style profile. The bottom flare has a hidden pocket cap for the uplocking screwlock. The screwlock is all nickel silver and the band is stamped "Thomas and Thomas, Makers". The spacer is a mortised and perfectly varnished spectacular walnut with snaky veins throughout. The rod packs in a tan cloth bag with stiffener and a T&T logo pull tab. The aluminum tube is black crackle painted with brass fittings for the top and bottom. T&T sticker on the tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
