For sale here is a very collectible API Spring Creek fly reel designed and patented by Oscar Kovalovsky. The reel is in excellent plus condition with only a few marks. Made in the late 1980s by Angling Products Inc. in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. The reel is 3 5/8" diameter and would be perfect for a 5-6 weight line and backing. Reel can be used either right or left hand wind. Weighs approx. 5 5/8 oz. This one is serial number 66 of 100. Black anodized finish. No tools are needed to remove the spool. This is one of the first large arbor reels with a click drag. The handle is inset from the edge to allow space to use a finger as additional drag. Since the handle is inset from the outer edge, it automatically gives it a multiplying effect of 1.4 to 1 when retrieving line.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop).
