A nice Bogdan model 150 salmon reel with a spare spool, all-black in color and set up for RHW. 3 1/2" diameter with a 1 3/8" spool width. Near mint condition with some small mounting marks on the foot and just the faintest mark in one spot on the rim. It couldn't have been fished more than a time or two, especially considering that the all-black models tend to show their use a bit more readily than their lighter counterparts. The frame, sideplates, and spool are all black anodized, with the sideplates and spool both ventilated throughout (the spare spool also has ventilated sides). The crank, foot, oil port cover, poacher's knob, and Bogdan nameplate are all clear anodized aluminum. The reel weighs 10 ounces on my scale, about 2 ounces less than the normal catalog weight on account of the ventilation. Designed to hold a #10 line with 175 yds of #20 backing. 2:1 multiplier retrieve and the vaunted Bogdan drag design. "150" is stamped into the side of the foot. It comes in the original suede Bogdan bag and the spare spool comes in a non-original T&T suede and canvas drawstring pouch. The reel also comes with a separate Arne Mason case that the owner must have had made for this reel and it is in superb mint condition with "Bogdan 150" tastefully embossed on the top, about as beautiful a case as you could wish for. A great model here for smaller two-handed rods, one of the most versatile for salmon and steelhead anglers looking for the ultimate light spey setup, and very hard to find in the all-black color in this kind of near mint condition.
