Bogdan Model 2 Salmon Reel with additional Palming Plate [SALE PENDING]

A terrific Bogdan Model 2 salmon reel, 3 3/4" diameter and set up for RHW. This reel comes with the scarce additional palming plate, which affixes to the outside of the reel frame (it also has an accompanying S-handle so that the owner can change it back and forth depending on their preference). Near mint condition. I can't find any sign that the reel has been used for actual fishing. There are no mounting marks on the foot, and the drag adjuster handle is pristine. There is a tiny scuff in the side plate near one of the screws as well as one tiny scratch in between the oil port cover and the drag adjuster, though I suspect both came from handling or being knocked at one point. None of the telltale signs of fishing use are there at all. Silver anodized frame and spool with black anodized sideplates. The palming plate is black anodized and has ample porting. The accompanying crank handle is silver anodized as are the foot, poacher's knob, Bogdan nameplate, oil port cover, and the drag adjuster frame. "2" is stamped on the underside of the foot. The reel has the famous Bogdan double brake drag system and a 2:1 multiplying retrieve. The reel packs into a brown leather drawstring bag. A very nice model for mid-size spey rods and the inclusion of both the palming plate and traditional handle is a great perk!
