Chris Carlin "Walkabout" Bamboo Fly Rod 9' 4/2 #10 [SALE PENDING]

A Chris Carlin “Walkabout” bamboo fly rod, 9', 4-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #10 line. Serial # HW690104H. The rod weighs 7.3 ounces on my scale. Fast DF style action. Dark flamed cane with light 3-up nodes. Lightly used, just starting to see some ferrule wrap cracks from casting. The main wraps are black with a red edge at the keeper and male ferrules. The ferrules are truncated Swiss-style and oxidized a brownish-black. The ferrules will need to be cleaned to fit properly. Two foulproof style stripper and black light wire snakes. The grip is 6 1/2" long with a hidden pocket cap. The grip is done in the style of a modified full Wells. The seat has an attractive varnished wood spacer and a black slide pocket cap with a 1 1/2" cork bottom and a hidden screw that allows the seat to up-lock. The rod comes packed into a red cloth bag and tube with a Carlin data sticker (the ink has largely rubbed off).
