Chris Henshaw 4" Wide Drum Brass Face Perfect Fly Reel - 1912 Check

VFT8120

For sale here is a 4 inch wide drum, brass-faced Hardy Perfect style fly reel made by Chris Henshaw. The reel includes a brass line guard and an auxiliary braking lever. This brake works flawlessly, allowing the user to exert consistent pressure on the fish. The reel is LHW only and has the coveted 1912 check mechanism. Strap over tensioner with turks head locking nut. Reel has not been fished but has been handled and therefore is not in mint condition -- just a few marks on it as shown in the photos. Also has developed a nice patina to the brass face simply from handling and age. Comes with original drawstring reel pouch. Reel weighs 19.1 oz and the reel foot measures 2.5".

This is a rare prototype reel made by Chris and you will not find another one like it.Chris guarantees his workmanship, so if there's ever a problem with the reel, I'm certain he will make it right : )
