For sale here is a rather rare Ferd Claudio graphite fly rod. Model G805B - 8' 5wt 2 pc. The rod is in excellent condition. Natural sanded graphite blank. Rust colored wraps with gold tipping. Bright guides. Western-style grip does show some soiling. Payne-style aluminum up-locking reel seat with fine, beautifully figured wood spacer. The rod features spigot ferrules, this enables a more efficient transfer of energy through the sections. The ferrule fit is nice and tight as it should be. Wonderful medium-fast action. A bit slower than most graphites, allowing more feel than most graphites. An excellent dry-fly capable rod of difficult drifts and casts. Claudio recommends a DT5. The rod weighs a lean 2.40 oz.
