For sale here is a Green River (Robert Gorman) - 7'6" 5wt 4 pc. graphite fly rod. Serial no. 3558. The rod is in mint condition. Built on a dark green sanded blank with jet black wraps and bright emerald green tipping. Bright guides. White witness dots for easy set-up. The sleeve ferrules fit together nice and tight as they should with a 1/4" gap to allow for wear over time. Bright nickel silver, u-shaped hook-keeper. Sculpted, finely turned nickel silver checks. Reverse half-wells grip 5 1/2" in length, with the plastic shrinkwrap still in place. Fine nickel silver, cap and ring reel seat with a gorgeous, mortised burl wood spacer. Etched on the butt cap, "Green River Rod Makers - Brattleboro, Vermont". The nickel silver could use a good polishing. The rod weighs 2.90 oz. The action is quite fast, a terrific tight quarters dry-fly rod where accurate casts are a must. The four piece design also makes it a great pack rod. Includes original bag with stiffening dowel. No tube.
