A Lyle Dickerson model 8014 bamboo fly rod, 8', 2-piece, 3-tip, and built for a #6 line. 4.6 ounces. I would describe the rod action as very powerful, as you would expect from most Dickersons. Used but very good serviceable condition. The varnish is in good condition. The top snake guide on the butt has a bit of a bend to it. The owners name and the date 1957 are lettered on the butt. "Dickerson 8014" is lettered one flat right. The rod is very straight and the ferrule fits are tight. The wraps are a light brown with black edges. The ferrules are oxidized. Tip #1 has a three up node pattern and an underwrap below the top snake guides. Tip #2 has a two opposed node pattern. And tip #3 is lettered "LLD, 74, 8014 Guide" and is done in a three up node pattern. All of the tips are full and appear dimensionally the same. The grip is 6 1/2" long shaped to a heavy western profile. The seat is a downlocking screwlock typical of Dickerson with a walnut spacer and a pocket cap of nickel silver at the bottom. The rod bag is a pale green with pockets for only two tips. The aluminum tube has a brass collar and plastic(?) top. No ferrule convention for this rod means that when fully assembled it will be 3/4" short of the full 8'.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
