Dingley Fly Reel 3 1/4" Perfect Style - H. Moore Liverpool

For Sale here is a Dingley 3 1/4" Perfect Style Fly Reel made for retailer H. Moore of Liverpool. Stamped D5. The reel is in very good+ condition. It is RHW and comes with a nice and strong dual check system from the late 1920's / early 1930's. What also makes the reel scarce is that it's a Eunuch-style (no ball bearings). The tensioner works perfectly. Gear teeth and pawl still in great shape. Un-filed original smooth brass reel foot with two screws. The xylonite handle fits loosely on its post with a bit of play, but still functional. The reel has a bit of end play but nothing serious. No cracks/chips or prior repairs. There is a good-sized line groove to the stripping pillar and nearby frame. All in all, a very affordable Dingley Perfect that will serve someone on stream very well for many years to come!
