For sale here is a Douglas Duck Model 8013 bamboo rod - 8' 2/2 5-6wt based on the classic 8013 Dickerson taper. Near mint condition. Serial no. 2092, made in 2000.
Transparent honey-colored wraps and black tipping. The ferrules are wrapped in black and tipped in the honey/black scheme used on the guides. Deeply blued guides. The script is clean and bold. Bright nickel silver checks. The reverse half wells grip is 6 1/4" in length with a very shallow taper to the point of almost being a more Garrison-like grip. The cork is only lightly soiled. Simple nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a darkly stained maple spacer. The Swiss-style ferrules are size 13/64 as indicated in the model number. The fit is perfect. The rod weighs 4.65 oz. though it feels lighter in the hand. Quick dry-fly action on the faster side of medium-fast with a very powerful butt. Even though the rod has been used only a few times if at all, the rod sections are not entirely straight if that bothers you. Original bag and tube included.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
