An EC Powell semi hollow built fly rod, 9'6", 3-piece, 2-tips, and built for what feels to me like a #6 or #7 line. Weighs 5.6 ounces on my scale. Patent date written on the shaft along with the original owner's name and "San Francisco, Calif". 2 opposed node pattern construction. Medium honey colored cane. The butt section has a 2 inch overwrap in brown silk to address what was likely a delamination issue. Standard brown wraps, with intermediates throughout and the cream and black tipping at the lowermost wraps above the grip. The middle portion of the midsection has a small additional wrap (in addition to the intermediates) and one tip as an additional 2 inch overwrap near the top. Some of the ferrule wraps have some cosmetic cracks (I couldn't detect any looseness) and there is a little varnish that has spilled onto the ferrules in a few spots. The ferrules fit together nicely and the rod has a pleasing medium-fast action. The butt and mid are pretty straight though both tips have right-hand and downstream sets to them. Standard Powell-style grip and bakelite spacer with an aluminum screwlock with the Powell stamp. Comes in a green rod bag and an original tube with the Powell label on it, though the rod tube screw top has been lost and replaced with a cheap PVC screw top.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

Other Terms
- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
