For sale here is an Edwards "Bill Rosgen's Special" 9'0" 3/2 5-6wt bamboo rod. The rod is in excellent original condition though it does show light wear throughout. All sections are full length and straight with the exception of one of the tips having a slight set.
Beautifully tempered cane highlights the grain of the bamboo. Rich copper silks with black tipping. Blued guides. The signature Edwards white script, turned yellow by varnish and time remains clean and bold. U-shaped hook-keeper. Very handsome squared bakelite winding check flows seamlessly into the cigar grip with a square nose. Garrison-style grip 6 5/8" in length with a bit of light ridging. The grip is in otherwise excellent shape. The down-locking reel seat is quite handsome made primarily from bakelite with aluminum. The ferrules fit nicely. The rod weighs 5.30 oz. The action is on the faster side of medium-fast with great recovery. This rod is a cannon, terrific for lake work or large rivers where far accurate casts are often called for. The rod includes the original brown bag and labeled aluminum tube. There is a crack in the collar of the tube though this does not affect its utility.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
